Fógra Dialainne: Fógraítear imeacht nua i mBaile Átha Cliath don Tionscal Teilifíse, don Tionscal Digiteach agus don Tionscal Cruthaitheach

MediaCon is a new international TV and Tech event taking place for the first time this year in the historical Mansion House, Dublin on September 8th.

Supported by the BAI, the one day event will discuss the future of TV production and explore how new digital platforms are changing the ways in which content is being produced and delivered to audiences. New methods of funding content and new emerging format ideas will also be looked at by an international line up of guest speakers.
With the television and film industry changing at a faster pace than ever this intimate event will look at the advantages that such change can bring to independent production companies, broadcasters, talent and commissioners in getting their work to a larger potential audience.

Event organisers Steve Mc Cormack and Lesley O’Connor say that this new event will offer an opportunity for local content producers to hear from and meet international commissioners who see Ireland as an ideal place in which to create and make television programming, not just for Ireland but for a global audience across various platforms, traditional and digital. Forecasting trends and connecting up key people from the industry is at the core of the event.
Co-founder of MediaCon Steve McCormack is the CEO and founder of multiplatform TV Company Straywave Media while the event producer Lesley O’Connor is the former executive producer of the Web Summit 2014, Collision Las Vegas 2014 and Founders New York 2014.

The event takes place on 8th September at the Mansion House, Dublin 2 and is a ticketed event. Further information about MediaCon is available at mediacon.ie
