The Broadcasting Authority of Ireland (BAI) has today (1st July) announced the launch of a Public Consultation process as part of the development of the BAI Statement of Strategy for the period 2011 – 2013. The purpose of the consultation is to provide interested parties and the general public (individuals, groups or associations) with an opportunity to comment on the future strategy of the BAI and to provide their views on the role and priorities of the broadcasting regulator. Commenting on the launch of the Public Consultation process, BAI Chief Executive Michael O’Keeffe said “The BAI is undertaking extensive consultation with the broadcasting sector and with the viewing and listening public of Ireland to ensure all views and opinions are taken into consideration as the strategy of the BAI is developed for the next three years.
