The Broadcasting Authority of Ireland (“BAI”) has today, 22nd March, announced the receipt of one application for a community radio service for Lucan & its Environs, which was advertised on December 9th last.
The application was received from Liffey Sound Communications Co-operative Society Limited, trading as Liffey Sound FM. Liffey Sound FM has operated under a community sound broadcasting contract, signed with the BAI on the 7th July 2006.
The BAI will now review the application to ensure that all information requested in the Guide to Submissions has been received and that the application is valid. On completion of this review, the application will be made publicly available.
