BAI Signs Contract With 98FM

The Broadcasting Authority of Ireland (BAI) has today (22nd October) signed a contract for a ten-year sound broadcasting service, for the franchise area of Dublin City and County, with Radio Two Thousand Limited (t/a 98FM).  The contract is for a music-driven, local sound broadcasting service for 25-44 year olds.

Speaking at the contract signing, Bob Collins, Chairperson of the BAI, said: “We are delighted to sign a contract today with 98FM.  The service has been an integral part of Dublin’s broadcasting landscape for many years.  This new contract provides the capacity for the service to sustain and evolve to meet its audience’s changing needs in the future.  The BAI wishes 98FM continued success over the duration of the next contract period.”

The BAI was represented at the contract signings by the Chairperson, Bob Collins and Michael O’Keeffe, Chief Executive.  98FM was represented by Lucy Gaffney, Chairperson, and Alan McMahon, Company Secretary.  The effective date for 98FM’s new contract is 1st November 2013.
