BAI signs contract with West Dublin Access Radio

The Broadcasting Authority of Ireland (“BAI”) today (29th March), signed a 10-year community sound broadcasting contract with BCA Social Economy Project Limited. The service broadcasting as “West Dublin Access Radio” on 96FM in the West Dublin area had previously operated under a five-year community sound broadcasting contract.

Speaking about the contract signing, Michael O’Keeffe, BAI Chief Executive said: “I would like to congratulate West Dublin Access Radio on the signing of their new contract today. The Authority considers that community radio plays a vital role in ensuring that a diverse mix of services exist to serve the listening needs of the people of Ireland. We wish West Dublin Access Radio every success over the term of their licence”.
The contractor, BCA Social Economy Project Limited, was represented at today’s contract signing by the contractor’s Secretary, Robert Healy, Paul Murray, Director and Station Manager, Rosaleen Lynch. The BAI was represented by Ciarán Kissane, Head of Contract Awards and Michael Moriarty, Authority Member.
