The Broadcasting Authority of Ireland’s Annual Report 2015 is now available.
Using the themes contained in the BAI’s Strategy Statement 2014-2016 as a framework, the report details the organisation’s activities and the progress made in implementing its work plan in 2015. Cognisant of the evolving media landscape, the interests of the viewing and listening public remained a central focus for the organisation.
The report details a range of developments which took place including the publication of major research in media ownership in Ireland; licensing 19 commercial and community radio services; on-going regulation of public service broadcasting; and, the award of €11.7m in funding to radio and television programmes through Sound & Vision 3.
