Applications sought for a Community Radio Service for South Dublin

The Broadcasting Authority of Ireland (BAI) has today (4th May 2022) announced that it is seeking applications for the provision of a community radio service serving the community of South Dublin. A public notice seeking applications has been placed in the relevant local paper.

The community radio service for South Dublin is currently provided by Dublin South Local Broadcasting Co-operative Limited and broadcasts as Dublin South FM.

The community radio service should be community focused and address the interests of, and seek to provide a social benefit to, the people within the franchise area. The services should be non-profit-maximising and should provide for, and support, access by individuals and groups living in the franchise area.

The closing date for receipt of applications is 12 noon on 3rd August 2022.
