BAI Signs Three Local Sound Broadcasting Contracts For Galway, Clare And Tipperary

The Broadcasting Authority of Ireland (BAI) has today (Tuesday, 16th July) signed contracts for three ten-year sound broadcasting services for the franchise areas of Galway, Clare and Tipperary.  The services are operated by Galway Bay FM, Clare FM, and Tipp FM respectively.

Speaking at the contract signings, Bob Collins, Chairperson of the BAI, said: “We are delighted to sign the contracts today with Galway Bay FM, Clare FM and Tipp FM.  Each of these three local services has provided a unique and distinct voice in their respective franchise area and today’s signings secure the continuation of these valued services into the future.  The BAI wishes each contractor continued success in serving their audiences over the duration of the next contract period.”

The BAI was represented at the contract signings by the Chairperson, Bob Collins and Michael O’Keeffe, Chief Executive.  The signatories for each of the stations, together with the effective date for each contract, are as follows:
