The Broadcasting Authority of Ireland (BAI) has today (25th June) placed public notices in a national newspaper seeking applications for three sound broadcasting services. The relevant three services are:
- A local broad-format sound broadcasting service for North Donegal (the service is currently operated by Highland Radio and this contract will expire on 30th September 2014).
- A local broad-format sound broadcasting service for Counties Laois, Offaly and Westmeath (the service is currently operated by Midlands 103 and this contract will expire on 30th September 2014).
- A niche music-driven sound broadcasting service for Dublin City and County (the service is currently operated by Sunshine 106.8 and this contract will expire on 30th September 2014).
All applications for any of the services must adhere to the format set out in the relevant Guide to Submissions (“Guide”). A Guide has been drafted for each service and is available below or on request from the BAI’s offices; 01 6441200.
