The BAI Compliance Committee has announced the appointment of Anna Carragher as Investigating Officer to undertake an investigation into the RTÉ Prime Time Investigates programme, “Mission to Prey”, broadcast on the 23rd May 2011.
Ms. Carragher is a former Controller of BBC Northern Ireland where she was editorially responsible for all BBC Northern Ireland output.
The investigation, initiated by the BAI Compliance Committee under Section 53 of the Broadcasting Act 2009, will examine whether the programme segments dealing with Fr. Kevin Reynolds breached sub-sections 39(1) (b) and (e) of the Broadcasting Act 2009.

Profile of Anna Carragher
Anna Carragher has produced and edited numerous news and current affairs programmes for BBC Radio and Television. As Controller of BBC Northern Ireland from 2000 to 2006, she was editorially responsible for all BBC Northern Ireland output. She is a member of the Human Fertilisation and Embryology Authority which is responsible for regulating artificial reproduction in the UK and she is also a Commissioner for the Equality Commission for Northern Ireland.
